About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Instructor to join a prestigious wilderness training company based in Hoedspruit, Limpopo. As an Assistant Instructor, you will play a vital role in shaping the future guardians of the wild by supporting camp operations, mentoring student guides and volunteers, and delivering immersive training experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting camp operations and logistics
- Mentoring student guides and volunteers
- Helping deliver immersive training, lectures & bush walks
- Maintaining gear, firearms & vehicles with pride
- Assisting with assessments & academic requirements
- Being a vital link between camp and reserve management
Requirements
- FGASA Nature Site Guide NQF 2/4
- FGASA Trails Guide NQF 4
- Advanced Rifle Handling (current)
- Valid FGASA Membership & NDT Registration
- Prior guiding experience (bonus if you’ve got a PDP too!)
- A passion for mentoring, bush education, and all things wild
Qualifications
- FGASA Nature Site Guide NQF 2/4
- FGASA Trails Guide NQF 4
- Advanced Rifle Handling Certification
- Valid FGASA Membership & NDT Registration (if required by the training company)
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: R18,000 – R21,000 (depending on experience)
- Single tented accommodation & meals while in camp
- Performance-based bonus
