About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef to join a Luxury Guest Farm nestled in the heart of Franschhoek. This exceptional opportunity for a culinary professional with a passion for crafting exceptional, seasonal dishes that reflect the region’s rich produce and farm-to-table philosophy.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
- Develop innovative menus that highlight local and sustainable ingredients.
- Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen team to deliver outstanding culinary experiences.
- Maintain strict hygiene, health, and safety standards within the kitchen.
- Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships efficiently.
- Collaborate with management to enhance the overall guest dining experience.
- Ensure consistency in food preparation and service across all dining areas.
Requirements
- Formal culinary qualification from a recognised institution.
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a luxury hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Excellent understanding of modern culinary techniques and plating styles.
- Passion for sustainability, local produce, and innovation in cuisine.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Formal culinary qualification from a recognised institution.
Salary & Benefits
R40,000 – R50,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience.
