About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Consultant to join our team in Stellenbosch, with a strong background in the transport industry and agricultural experience being beneficial. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients, negotiating contracts, and managing logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients, including regular visits.
- Negotiating new contracts.
- Negotiate transport rates with clients and transporters.
- Manage volumes allocated to the company.
- Understand the running cost of a vehicle to determine CPKs.
- Analyse commodity trends and adapt to market fluctuations.
- Keep track of the daily and monthly budgets.
- Adding new clients and transporters to our existing book.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role within the transport industry
- Relevant qualification (degree or diploma)
- Experience in the agricultural industry is beneficial
