About the Role
Our client, a renowned retail supermarket with over two decades of experience in the industry, is seeking a National Key Accounts Manager to drive national growth across major retail chains. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for securing new product listings, maintaining and growing sales across all national customers, and strengthening relationships with each customer to increase orders and expand distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Secure National Listings: Actively pursue and secure new product listings with all national retail chains, buying groups, and major wholesalers. Prepare and present listing proposals to national buyers.
- Ensure Successful Onboarding: Verify successful onboarding of products into each chain’s system (barcodes, pricing files, portal uploads, compliance documents, logistics requirements).
- Drive Ongoing National Sales Growth: Continuously communicate with buyers, category managers, and replenishment teams to ensure strong sell-through. Monitor stock levels, replenishment cycles, and in-store availability to prevent out-of-stocks.
- Plan and Execute Promotions: Plan and execute promotions to support monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Requirements
- 10 years proven experience in FMCG
- Strong understanding of national retail chains and wholesaler environments
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong administrative, planning, and organizational abilities
- Computer proficiency (Excel, Word, online portals)
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel nationally
Salary & Benefits
R15 000 base salary. Additional earning potential through finding commissions, recurring commissions, and travel spend.
