About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager and Engineer with a strong background in water-focused civil engineering projects to join our client-based team in Tshwane, Gauteng. As a Lenders Technical Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful implementation of a large bulk water supply scheme in South Africa. Your expertise in NEC3 contracts and project management, combined with your knowledge of quality control and construction contract management, will be invaluable to our client.
Key Responsibilities
- The primary focus of the role is to be based in the Client’s office in Tshwane to support the successful implementation of a large bulk water supply scheme in South Africa as a Lenders Technical Advisor.
- This role requires you to be proactive to ensure timely approval of the various aspects of the project and to engage with the company’s knowledge base and lead collaboration across a wide network of technical experts.
- You will assist with knowledge transfer between Arup colleagues across the continent, inter-office working, and help broaden your skills through international experience in assisting with the appraisal and delivery of water infrastructure schemes.
Requirements
- A relevant undergraduate engineering degree
- Professional registration with ECSA and SACPCMP (advantageous)
- In-depth experience with water-focused civil engineering projects which could include pipelines, pump stations, water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Sufficient experience in NEC3 contracts and project management.
- Quality control and construction contract management.
