About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager to join our team at West Coast Personnel in Bellville. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily site construction activities and ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and permit-to-work procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site construction activities, ensuring full compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and permit-to-work procedures.
- Independently complete Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and other HSE documentation.
- Manage and coordinate the construction team, including supervisors, team leaders, and subcontractors.
- Prepare and submit daily site progress reports, ensuring all project documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project plans.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor construction progress against project timelines and milestones.
- Coordinate with engineering, HSE, and project management teams to resolve on-site technical issues, delays, or constraints.
- Order, control, and manage site materials, tools, and equipment.
- Attend and conduct site meetings with engineers, clients, and project stakeholders.
- Demonstrate strong BOQ understanding, including quantity verification and tracking.
Requirements
- At least 2 years experience in construction or site management roles.
- Valid Code 8 driver’s licence.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Advantages: Experience working on petrochemical or industrial projects, and HSE or construction-related certifications.
