Contracts Manager / Senior Project Manager
 
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and recently qualified Site Agent / Project Manager to join our clients construction team. This role is ideal for a graduate or early-career professional with a BSc or BTech in Construction Management (or a related qualification) who is looking to develop practical site and project management experience.
The successful candidate will assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of construction projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
 
Key Responsibilities
Site & Project Management

  • Assist with the day-to-day management of construction sites
  • Support the planning, programming, and coordination of site activities
  • Monitor progress against programme and report to senior management
  • Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and contract requirements

Health, Safety & Quality

  • Promote and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on site
  • Assist in implementing method statements and risk assessments
  • Carry out site inspections and support quality control procedures

Commercial & Administrative Support

  • Assist with material procurement, subcontractor coordination, and site logistics
  • Support cost control, valuations, and record-keeping
  • Maintain site documentation, reports, and project records

Communication & Coordination

  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients
  • Attend site meetings and assist with reporting and action tracking
  • Communicate effectively with site teams and office staff

 
Qualifications & Experience
Essential

  • BSc or BTech in Construction Management or a related construction qualification
  • Recently qualified or up to 2 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Basic understanding of construction methods, contracts, and site operations
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations within the construction industry

Desirable

  • Previous site experience (placement, internship, or graduate role)
  • Working knowledge of construction programming software (e.g. MS Project)
  • Familiarity with standard forms of contract
