About the Role
Talent Fox SA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pallet Controller to join our team in Durban. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous operational flow of our inbound/outbound environment. If you have a passion for pallet control and are well-versed in CHEP systems, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
• Control and document pallet movements (issue, return & recover outstanding pallets)
• Capture and maintain accurate records on the CHEP system
• Ensure buffer stock availability for operational continuity
• Download, analyse and verify CHEP reports
• Conduct monthly physical pallet counts and variance reconciliation
• Support process improvements around pallet optimisation
• Report non-conforming pallets and ensure compliance with Food Safety & HSE
• Resolve pallet disputes and queries with customers
• Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams for pallet recoveries
• Provide administrative support when required by Warehouse Manager
Requirements
• Matric / Grade 12 with Mathematics
• 3–5 years’ experience as a CHEP Pallet Controller (Essential)
• Intermediate MS Office & Excel knowledge
• Strong knowledge of pallet control principles
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Skilled in stock control, problem-solving & conflict resolution
• Process improvement mindset & ability to work under pressure
