About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our team in South Africa. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies to drive business growth and meet company targets. You will also lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the building industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company targets
- Analyze market trends to identify new business opportunities
- Provide input on annual sales targets and develop action plans to meet them
- Monitor and report on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance and activities
- Research, select, and implement a suitable CRM system
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear KPIs, and provide ongoing feedback
- Address team disputes and disciplinary matters in collaboration with HR and the CFO
- Organize training programs to enhance sales skills and industry knowledge
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as a Sales & Marketing Manager (experience in the building industry is an advantage)
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities
- Ability to adapt to market changes and drive innovation
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Proficiency in CRM, accounting, and inventory management software
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (if applicable)
Salary & Benefits
- R48 000.00 – R60 000.00 basic salary, plus commission benefits
- Additional salary details will be discussed during the interview process
