About the Role

Our client in the Telecommunications industry is seeking an experienced On-Site UC Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various aspects of Unified Communications, including Skype for Business deployments and Polycom On-premise VC Infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of client Skype for Business deployment
  • Polycom On-premise VC Infrastructure monitoring, management and scheduling
  • UC/AV First Line Support and conference assistance for all users, nationally.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing of faulty solutions
  • Management of all Boardrooms, including AV and VC equipment
  • Implementation, testing and monitoring of Proof of Concept deployments
  • All reporting required from the client
  • Responding to calls logged by users
  • Providing remote/telephonic support
  • Review, understand and enforce all policies and procedures outlined in Health and safety policy

Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Skype for Business implementation qualifications and provable track record. References of implementations will be required.
  • Must have necessary knowledge of network and unified communications platforms
  • Must be able to read and fully understand Schematic drawings and terminology and be able to support systems accordingly
  • Polycom VC Infrastructure management knowledge (PCVE Qualification)
  • Knowledge of AV cable terminations
  • Experience in AV/UC Support
  • Good skills with hand tools
