About the Role
The Finance Manager will be responsible for leading the finance team and ensuring accurate financial reporting, while also providing exceptional support to the organisation. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, with experience in financial reporting, compliance, and staff management.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Oversight and review of accountants’ work
- Month-end and year-end journals and reconciliations
- Compilation and management of intercompany loan schedules
- Monitoring and managing cash flow
- Ensuring accurate payroll processing
- Submission of statutory and SARS returns, including income tax and provisional tax
- Liaising with auditors and managing audit processes
- Implementing, monitoring, and maintaining strong internal financial controls
- Development and analysis of budgets and forecasts
- Managing and developing the finance team
- Supporting ad-hoc reporting and technical queries
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and taxation
- Solid experience in financial reporting and compliance
- Proven staff management experience
- Advanced Excel skills; Sage exposure advantageous
- Experience with consolidations, AFS preparation, and group reporting
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- CA(SA) preferred
- Minimum 2 years post-articles experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field (if applicable)
