About the Role

Our client, a well-established and reputable organisation within the retail and distribution sector, is seeking a hands-on and results-driven Finance Manager to join their Pretoria-based team. This opportunity is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in an operational environment and enjoys partnering with the business to drive profitability, improve processes, and strengthen financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full finance function, including month-end, reporting, and reconciliations
  • Manage and review management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
  • Drive financial performance through analysis of margins, costs, and operational efficiencies
  • Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and accountability
  • Strengthen internal controls, processes, and financial governance frameworks
  • Partner with operational teams to support decision-making and business growth
  • Manage audit processes and ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant regulations
  • Oversee working capital management, including inventory, debtors, and creditors

Requirements

  • Education: BCom Accounting or equivalent (essential)
  • CA(SA) or CIMA highly advantageous
  • Experience: Minimum 5 to 8 years experience in a finance role
  • Proven experience within retail, manufacturing, or distribution environments
  • Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, and team management
