About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Food Quality Control and Safety Officer to ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality within our organization. The ideal candidate will advise on safety measures, conduct risk assessments, and enforce preventative measures. Role involves promoting a safe workplace, providing training, and investigating incidents to improve overall safety. In line with the company’s objective to be the leading supplier of nutritional supplements to the Foods Industry, that the company has undertaken to implement FSSC.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all Food products meet statutory, regulatory and customers requirements.
- Manage a food safety team and organize its work.
- Ensure relevant training and education of food safety provided to team members.
- Establish, implement, maintain, and update the food safety management system.
- Report to the organization’s top management on the effectiveness and suitability of the food safety management system.
- Liaise with external parties on matters relating to food safety.
Requirements
- 2 years or more of experience in a related field (food safety, quality control).
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Completion of a relevant qualification in food safety or a related field.
Salary & Benefits
- R14,000.00 per annum.
- Monday to Friday 07h00am – 16h00pm, Saturday 07h00am – 12h30pm.
