About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Accountant to join our client’s team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of the finance function, you will be responsible for managing daily financial operations and maintaining accurate bookkeeping records. Key Responsibilities

Manage daily financial operations and maintain accurate bookkeeping records
Prepare and post journals with strong proficiency in QuickBooks
Produce monthly management accounts, including detailed P&L and balance sheet reviews
Conduct budgeting processes, financial reporting, and variance analysis
Coordinate with our Cayman-based team on financial reporting, commentary, and deliverables
Oversee payment workflows, account reconciliations, and ongoing cash flow monitoring
Ensure adherence to internal controls, KYC procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements
Communicate directly with clients and external service providers to support financial inquiries and deliverables

Requirements

Strong grasp in accounting principles (formal qualification preferred)
23 years of post-qualification experience in finance / accounting
Proven experience preparing management accounts and managing end-to-end finance operations
Proficient in QuickBooks and other accounting platforms
Able to work independently with minimal guidance, a proactive self-starter
Demonstrates sound judgment, professionalism, and a high level of accountability
Confident communicator capable of engaging effectively with senior and international stakeholders

Qualifications

Formal qualification in accounting (Bachelor’s degree or higher)
