About the Role
Our client in the Insurance industry is seeking a Commercial Insurance Broker to join their team in Maputo, Mozambique. As part of Angola’s largest insurance broker group, establishing operations in emerging markets, they are looking for a skilled professional to help them expand their presence in Mozambique, Equatorial Guinea, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Key Responsibilities
- Dealing with international brokers and multi-national clients
- Handling the placement of risks into the Mozambican insurance market
- Attaining and managing insurance portfolios for regional and national clients
- Overseeing the day to day operations of the company
- Ensuring high service levels are delivered and maintained
Requirements
- 3 years experience in Commercial non-life insurance
- The ability to work with international insurance brokers and assemble insurance structures
- The ability to work with and manage a team of staff, including 2 insurance staff and 2 support staff
- Any foreign language (French, Portuguese, and Spanish) will be considered very positively
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Relevant certifications or professional qualifications
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: $4,000 USD (highly negotiable), bonus and profit scheme earnings
