About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As an estimator, you will be responsible for preparing feasibility studies and cost estimates based on conceptual designs and project scope, as well as analysing drawings, BoQs, site information, and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare feasibility studies and cost estimates based on conceptual designs and project scope
- Analyse drawings, BoQs, site information, and technical documentation to identify cost risks, assumptions, contingencies, and value-engineering opportunities
- Compile cash flow forecasts and high-level financial projections
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to obtain accurate costing data
- Prepare clear feasibility reports, cost summaries, and recommendations
- Maintain pricing databases, benchmarks, and cost libraries
Requirements
- Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or similar
- Proven experience in estimating or feasibility analysis within a construction environment
- Strong understanding of construction costs, processes, and project lifecycles
- Proficiency in estimating software and advanced spreadsheet skills
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities
Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or similar
