Job Title: Junior Financial Manager

Location: Cape Town, Northern Suburbs

Salary: R30 000.00 R33 000.00 CTC per month

About Our Client: Our client, a leading logistics company based in Cape Town, Northern Suburbs. They specialise in providing reliable transportation and distribution services to our clients, ensuring their satisfaction and trust in their services.

Job Description: Our client is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Junior Financial Manager to join their finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, team coordination, compliance, and ledger management, but will not be involved in business analysis or financial reporting

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Finance in managing the finance team and coordinating daily financial operations.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting to ensure accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts and ensure data integrity.
  • Help manage accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger reconciliation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support financial audits and coordinate with external auditors when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
  • Assist in cash flow management and expense tracking to support operational decision-making.
  • Contribute to the improvement of compliance frameworks and internal control processes.
  • Support the implementation of efficient financial systems and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Completed SAICA articles (as AGA) or SAIPA articles.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting standards (e.g., IFRS for SMEs).
  • Solid knowledge of general ledger functions, reconciliations, and basic financial controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar).
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a collaborative team mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
