About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to join our team in Humansdorp. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and controlling finished goods inventory levels across all storage locations, while collaborating with production, demand planning, and logistics teams to align inventory with sales forecasts and customer demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control finished goods inventory levels
- Develop and maintain comprehensive inventory policies and procedures
- Analyse inventory data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization
- Ensure accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and reconciliations
- Manage product shelf life and implement FIFO (First In, First Out) practices
- Work closely with sales and marketing on promotions and new product launches to ensure inventory readiness
- Lead inventory-related projects, including system upgrades and process improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Finance or any related field
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory or warehouse management, preferably within the FMCG sector
- Strong knowledge of WMS systems, with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central being highly preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools is essential
- Understanding of inventory control principles and best practices
