About the Role
The purpose of the Quality Technician role is to develop, define and plan suitable measures in order to meet customer requirements in respect of quality through prevention of problems and continuous improvement of product and service within an acceptable timeframe.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, introduce, monitor and maintain measuring systems
- Provide a quality and proactive service as measured against national and international standards
- Analyse, initiate, co-ordinate and implement corrective action to qualify discrepancies reported to the department
- Maintain measuring equipment in his area to ensure that International and Company Konzern standards are adhered to
- Assist, train and supervise Trainees, Junior Technicians and new employees
- Prepare and supply measurement and SPC data for Management decisions and Konzern evaluation
- Dimensional calibration of Company fixture, gauges, measuring and torque testing instrument and maintain its history
Requirements
- National Diploma/ NN Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Trade Test Certificate Tool Maker
- Minimum of 3-5 years relevant working experience within the automotive environment
- At least 2 years working experience with parts, assemblies alignment, set-up and Dimensional Evaluation
