Job Description

About the Role

Hire Resolve is partnering with a leading engineering consultancy on a high-impact energy storage project in South Africa. We are seeking a Quality Officer to join a groundbreaking Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) initiative as it enters the construction phase, working across three active project sites within close proximity to one another in the Northern Cape.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct on-site quality inspections and ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015
Support and monitor the implementation of QMS across all project phases
Maintain quality documentation and reporting systems
Liaise with site teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure quality objectives are met
Identify and assist in resolving non-conformances

Requirements

Degree in Engineering or a related technical field
Minimum 5 years on-site experience in the construction industry
Proven experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Solid working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards
Valid drivers license
Willingness to work across multiple construction sites

Preferred Background

Experience in large-scale energy or infrastructure projects, such as:

Power stations
Solar farms or battery storage facilities
Mining or water utility infrastructure
