About the Role
The Regional Sales Manager – Crop Protection position is a key role within our team, responsible for driving business growth and ensuring timely product availability. As a seasoned agricultural industry professional, you will be expected to optimize crop protection marketing materials, enhance customer relationships, and identify new opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance key customer relationships with distributors, agents, and farmers.
- Identify and support new producers in the area to grow business and become part of the portfolio.
- Ensure accurate monthly and annual budgeting for timely product availability.
- Develop and implement proposals for strategic product positioning.
- Establish strong relationships and hold regular meetings with the regional team and customers.
- Arrange and provide support during farmers’ days and sales events, including on-farm technical assistance.
- Conduct and promote stewardship training and safe handling for farm managers and workers.
- Conduct technical training for customers.
- Create and implement an action plan and approach for each customer to reach annual targets.
- Complete administrative tasks and reports in a timely manner with regular and accurate feedback.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years combined sales and technical experience in the agricultural industry.
- Strong knowledge of fungicides, herbicides, and pesticides is essential.
- Extensive expertise in plant health and crop care, specifically cereals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in Afrikaans and English (read, write, speak).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sales or Marketing.
- CropLife Certification is advantageous.
