About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client in the construction industry is urgently seeking a highly skilled Health & Safety Officer to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape. As a key member of our client’s health and safety team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety (OSH) regulations and promoting a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce Health and Safety Policies.
- Conduct Audits and Inspections.
- Investigate Accidents / Incidents.
- Ensure HSE compliance with OSHACT.
- Train On-Site Staff in HSE.
- Conduct Toolbox Talks.
- Review and Approve Sub-Contractor HSE Files.
- Submit Weekly and Monthly Reports / Statistics.
- Prepare Risk Assessment and Method Statements.
Requirements
- Experience as a Health & Safety Officer.
- Knowledge of legislation (OSHACT) and procedures.
- Familiarity with hazardous materials or practices.
- Experience in writing Health and Safety reports and policies.
- Skills in data analysis and statistics.
- Knowledge of Safety Management Information Systems.
- Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.
- SACPCMP registration (preferred).
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar environment.
- Valid Drivers License and transport.
