About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking an experienced Construction Equipment Mechanic to join their team in Wellington, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in repairing and maintaining construction equipment, such as bulldozers, excavators, and cranes.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair construction equipment to ensure they are safe and operational
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns
- Troubleshoot and identify mechanical issues quickly and effectively
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Keep work area clean and organised
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Equipment Mechanic
- Certification or diploma in Heavy Equipment Mechanics or a related field
- Strong knowledge of construction equipment and their components
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
