Job Description
About the Role
You’ll be joining a global, remote, crypto-native organisation that wants proper finance talent — people who can bring structure without killing innovation, who can keep up with volatility without panicking, and who understand that Web3 accounting is not for the faint-hearted. This isn’t a “sit quietly and reconcile” role. This is where accounting meets engineering, technology, decentralisation, and “is this capex, opex, or is it… a token?”
Key Responsibilities
- Work across financial reporting, revenue recognition, treasury, controls, and new crypto-linked transactions that traditional accounting textbooks politely ignore.
- Provide expert guidance on crypto asset valuations, exchanges, wallets, DeFi, tokens, NFTs, or blockchain ecosystems.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement innovative financial solutions for Web3 projects.
Requirements
- A CA(SA) or equivalent who enjoys building, experimenting, and learning
- Someone who understands or has experience with crypto assets, exchanges, wallets, DeFi, tokens, NFTs, or blockchain ecosystems
- A finance professional who can operate independently, think commercially, and still have fun doing it
- A problem-solver who doesn’t run from ambiguity — you run toward it, preferably with a spreadsheet
Qualifications
- CA(SA) registration with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
