About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Truck Driver to join our team in South Africa. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting heavy equipment and machinery between sites, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to road safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a heavy-duty tilt tray truck to load, secure, transport and offload industrial equipment
- Conducting daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects or maintenance requirements
- Ensuring compliance with all road safety and company operational procedures
- Completing accurate trip sheets, delivery notes and related documentation
- Assisting with loading/unloading and recovery operations when required
Requirements
- Valid South African Code EC (14) drivers licence with valid PDP Forklift Operator licence
- Proven experience of at least 5 years driving heavy-duty trucks (8-ton or similar)
- Strong knowledge of load securing and safe transportation practices
- Good driving record and track history
- Sober habits and high reliability
Qualifications
- Completed Matric qualification
