About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Private Banker to join our team at Rory Mackie & Associates in Durban. As a key member of our acquisitions focus, you will be responsible for growing our client base through networking and cold calling, while delivering exceptional customer service and financial advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing new business through cold calling, extracting value from an existing client base, networking, and referrals
- Meeting specified budget and targets per activity
- Delivering a quality CRM service to existing clients
- Presentation of products and services to clients
- Providing financial advice to clients on: o Lending products: including Residential, Commercial Property, Secured loans o Local and international banking requirements o Treasury and forex
Requirements
- Relevant Tertiary Degree (Preferably B Acc/CA (SA), MBA, CFA, CIMA)
- Min 5-6 years financial services experience
- In-depth knowledge of deal structuring
- Ability to network within the organisation (our clients Wealth and Investment as well as the Specialist Bank functions in South Africa)
- Engaging and interacting with International geographies of our clients, as networking and connecting clients is critical for this role
- Experience in Wealth Management and Structured Property Finance will be advantageous
- Awareness and management of compliance and regulatory frameworks in all dealings with clients
- People skills, with a specific passion for socializing and networking
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and within a team environment
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
- Good marketing and cross-selling skills
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary degree or equivalent qualifications
