About the Role
Hire Resolve’s Client is urgently seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join their team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for performing complex actuarial analysis and providing valuable insights to support business decision-making. You will work closely with the actuarial team and other stakeholders to develop and implement financial models and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret insurance data to provide insights and recommendations
- Perform actuarial valuations and calculations to support financial reporting and planning
- Develop and maintain financial models to assess risks and estimate future outcomes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize business performance and address key challenges
- Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
Requirements
- Qualified or nearly qualified actuary with relevant professional qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in actuarial analysis
- Strong knowledge of actuarial concepts and methodologies
- Proficiency in using actuarial software and programming languages such as Prophet, R, or Python
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Qualifications
- Qualified or nearly qualified actuary with relevant professional qualifications (e.g. Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa)
