About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to join their team in Benoni, Gauteng. The successful candidate will oversee the engineering department, ensuring the timely and successful completion of projects, manage a team of engineers, and implement efficient engineering processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of engineers and technical staff, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Plan, organise and coordinate engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement engineering processes and standards to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Work closely with other departments, including production, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team, as well as support in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the engineering team, providing feedback and training as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements, and maintain a safe working environment for all staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (required)
- Proven experience in a similar role, with at least 5 years of experience in engineering management
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred
