About the Role

SAIPA Trainee Accountant contract opportunities are available in Stellenbosch with a highly reputable Assurance, Accounting and Consulting firm. This is a great opportunity to start your career in finance with a training contract at an established firm in the Cape Winelands.

Key Responsibilities

Produce client reports.
Perform accounting work.
Administrative duties.
Full bookkeeping and accounting function up to trial balance, including debtors, creditors, bank, petty cash, journals, etc.
Handling of VAT and PAYE reviews.
Invoicing and debtors collection.
IRP5 calculations, reconciliations and submissions.
Liaison with clients.
Maintenance of SARS accounts.
PAYE/UIF/SDL calculations and EMP201 submissions.
Registration and deregistration for Income Tax, PAYE, VAT and Import and Export licenses.
Tax clearance applications.
UIF registration and administration.
VAT calculations and VAT201 submissions.
WCA registrations, submission of returns and arranging letters of good standing.

Requirements

BAccounting, BCom Accounting, BCom Management Accounting, BCom Financial Accounting, or equivalent.
Computer literacy.
Ability to work in a team.
Excellent attention to detail.
Drivers licence and own transport.
