About the Role
The Skills Mine is seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Services Clerk to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for processing trust and business EFT payments, managing financial files and records, and assisting with month-end procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Process trust and business EFT payments
- Manage and maintain business creditors, advocates, directors, and staff refunds
- Liaise with auditors and suppliers
- Assist with month-end procedures
- Maintain financial files and records
- Assist the manager with all departmental matters when required
- Attend to telephonic and email queries and requests
- Assist with other departmental responsibilities as required
Requirements
- A Degree in B.Com Finance / Accounting
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proactive approach to work
- Ability to administer and execute instructions from receipt to completion with minimal supervision
- Strong organisational skills with close attention to detail
- Ability to work towards tight deadlines in a highly pressurised environment
- Willingness to work extended hours during month-end
Qualifications
- Completed B.Com Finance / Accounting degree
