About the Role
Our Client, a Deluxe Hotel/Resort in West Africa, is recruiting for a fit and well-qualified Maintenance Engineer/Manager with a strong hospitality background. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in 5-star hotels, lodges, and resorts, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional maintenance services. Fluency in English and French is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects related to electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general hotel maintenance work
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements
- Ensure all aspects of the hotel’s infrastructure are well-maintained and up-to-date
- Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
Requirements
- Formal technical qualification with trade test at a reputable institution (Electrical/HVAC preferable)
- Multi-skilled in all aspects of maintenance, including electrical, basic mechanical, plumbing, woodwork, painting, facilities management, and large infrastructure projects
- At least five (10) years of skilled maintenance experience, including five years of supervisory experience
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and manage a team on various projects
Qualifications
- Completed formal education/certification in Electrical/HVAC or related field
