About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned FARM MANAGER to oversee the day-to-day operations of our livestock farm in the Eastern Cape. As a passionate and experienced farmer, you will be responsible for managing cattle, sheep, and goats, ensuring their health, productivity, and well-being. If you have a proven track record in livestock management and are eager to lead a team, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Livestock management (Abiding by management program set) of cattle, sheep and goats – health, feed, water, productive
- Including – Breeding, maintain health, assess feed and water resources, assess and maintain camp requirements – fencing, water sources, veld regen/grazing management and road, maintaining and improving infrastructure,
- Meeting KPI set for livestock production and other – improve fertility, mitigate deaths from predators and disease,
- Ensuring security is in top order – work with security company and maintain oversight from security standpoint.
- Manage human capital and stakeholder involved in operations – staff management is key.
- Record keeping
Requirements
- Educational background in animal husbandry and livestock management
- 5-10 years proven and successful track record in managing livestock and farming operation
- Passion for livestock farming and living on farm
- Computer literate
- Strong stockmanship
- Ability to motivate and work with staff
- Must be maintenance orientated
- Valid driver’s license

- Educational background in animal husbandry and livestock management (Bachelor’s degree or higher)
