About the Role
Join Wild Dreams Hospitality as a Limpopo Trails Guide, leading bush walks, game drives, and guest experiences in a remote area while upholding operational and guiding standards. This live-in position requires a passionate, safety-conscious professional to deliver exceptional personalized guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct guided bush walks, game drives, guest introductions, and safety briefings to the standards required by FGASA, CATHSSETA, and SANParks.
- Host guests throughout their stay, ensuring engaging, informative, and enjoyable wildlife experiences.
- Maintain excellent weapon handling standards and remain available for all drives, back-up duties, and standby shifts.
- Assist with emergency procedures including medical incidents, fire, flood, and evacuation protocols.
- Support social media contributions through relevant wildlife and conservation content.
- Collect guest preferences and ensure accurate communication with management.
- Report guest issues immediately and support solutions to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Oversee vehicle checks, assist with maintenance reporting, and manage monthly diesel logs.
- Ensure guiding equipment is maintained, clean, stored correctly, and reported when shortages arise.
- Attend departmental meetings and uphold all lodge operating procedures.
Requirements
- Lead Trails Guide qualification is essential
- ARH, Rifle Proficiency, First Aid Level 1, Driver’s license, and PDP
- Strong knowledge of guiding protocols aligned to FGASA, SANParks, and lodge standards
- Excellent communication skills, strong EQ, patience, and guest-relations expertise
- Ability to work in a remote environment as part of a small, close-knit team
- Problem-solving ability, initiative, creativity, and strong time-management skills
- Technical/mechanical understanding beneficial
- Clean track record and strong references
