About the Role
Our client is on a mission to reinvent how financial technology is built, scaled, and delivered. They are looking for a Senior Java & C# Developer to lead the charge in evolving enterprise platforms from legacy .NET systems to modern Java-based architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead backend development using C# / .NET and Java / J2EE, with a focus on migrating legacy systems
- Architect and implement scalable, enterprise-grade financial solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product managers, and UK-based clients to align technical solutions with business goals
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, performance tuning, and best practices for clean, maintainable code
- Mentor and support junior developers within a high-performing engineering team
- Navigate cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure) to ensure scalable, secure deployments
Requirements
- Proficiency in both C# / .NET and Java / J2EE
- Strong experience with SQL and working with large datasets
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (essential)
- 5+ years’ professional development experience in backend systems
- Strong consulting background or experience working in client-facing environments
Salary & Benefits
Cost to company of up to R1.3mil Per Annum negotiable on experience and ability
