About the Role
Phakisa Holdings is seeking a skilled and experienced Handyman to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing various repairs, maintenance, and installations across our facilities in Gauteng.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical repairs, including lights and laundry.
- Ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and fixed as necessary.
- Complete general building cleaning and maintenance.
- Install and replace floors, stairs and piping as needed.
- Repair and paint doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs and other parts of the building.
- Maintain and repair air conditioning and heating systems as required.
- Perform maintenance and light repairs.
- Repair equipment or appliances.
- Assist with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs.
- Identify and report the need for major repairs.
- Perform basic repairs e.g. wall damage, broken window.
- Complete general maintenance work.
- Paint surfaces and apply stain as needed.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in handyman work or related field
- Ability to perform electrical repairs
- Mechanical aptitude
- Physical fitness for manual labor
