About the Role

Phakisa Holdings is seeking a skilled and experienced Handyman to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing various repairs, maintenance, and installations across our facilities in Gauteng.

Key Responsibilities

Perform electrical repairs, including lights and laundry.
Ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and fixed as necessary.
Complete general building cleaning and maintenance.
Install and replace floors, stairs and piping as needed.
Repair and paint doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs and other parts of the building.
Maintain and repair air conditioning and heating systems as required.
Perform maintenance and light repairs.
Repair equipment or appliances.
Assist with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs.
Identify and report the need for major repairs.
Perform basic repairs e.g. wall damage, broken window.
Complete general maintenance work.
Paint surfaces and apply stain as needed.

Requirements

2-4 years of experience in handyman work or related field
Ability to perform electrical repairs
Mechanical aptitude
Physical fitness for manual labor
