About the Role
GAP Consulting, a leading recruitment consultancy in South Africa, is seeking an experienced Extruder Machine Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth production of telecommunication pipes. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control extrusion machine parameters
- Conduct regular process checks and adjust settings as needed
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on the extruder machine
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in extrusion operation in the telecommunication pipes manufacturing industry
- Technical certification in Extrusion or Manufacturing Processes required
- Proficient in MS Office essential tools
- Strong working knowledge of HDPE extrusion processes, including machine setup, process monitoring, parameter adjustments, quality inspection standards, material handling, waste management
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License and own Transport required
- Contactable references and payslips required
