About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and mature Lodge Manager to join our boutique safari lodge in Hoedspruit, Limpopo. As a seasoned hospitality professional, you will be responsible for supervising all aspects of the lodge’s operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of luxury and service.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily lodge operations, including staff supervision, room maintenance, and general property upkeep
Plan and execute menu planning and execution for up to 15 guests
Ensure seamless running of the villa, with a focus on customer satisfaction and loyalty
Logistically plan for group gatherings, including shopping, errands, and other tasks
Maintain accurate financial records, track budgets, and manage cash flow
Perform routine maintenance of plumbing, electrical, and general property repairs
Demonstrate excellent PA abilities, leading by example in every way

Requirements

At least 5 years experience in a senior position in the hospitality industry at a 4/5* luxury lodge
Proven experience in running a lodge/property without supervision to a schedule and with integrity
Chef experience is highly beneficial (capable of cooking simple, great tasting meals for up to 15 guests)
Valid driver’s license with own vehicle preferred
First aid/Health and Safety Certification is beneficial

Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualification in tourism management is very beneficial.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: R20 000 – R25 000 D.O.E. Accommodation provided on site; a partner could be accommodated but no children/pets. Other benefits will be discussed during the recruitment process.

Starting Date: ASAP, although notice will be respected
