About the Role

To join our team as a SAIPA Trainee Accountant at I Grow Wealth Investments, you will be working closely with experienced accountants to provide high-quality services to our clients. As a trainee accountant, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in accounting, taxation, and financial management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture transactions in accounting records.
  • Perform reconciliations.
  • Perform bookkeeping to trial balance.
  • Interpreting clients’ accounting records and compiling annual financial statements (IFRS for SME’).
  • Perform tax calculations and complete income tax returns and provisional tax returns.
  • Perform VAT and PAYE calculations in order to submit returns on E-filing.
  • Assist accountants with various client matters, including administrative work.
  • Resolve queries.
  • Performing tasks required in terms of the SAIPA competency framework.
  • Any other tasks related to the role as a SAIPA Trainee Accountant.

Requirements

  • Completed BCom, Management Accounting or Financial Management.
  • Computer literate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Deadline driven and able to work independently.
  • Valid driver’s license and own transport available during office hours.

Qualifications

No formal education/certifications are required for this role. However, a degree in BCom, Management Accounting or Financial Management is preferred.
