About the Role
As the Controller for Vehicle Stock, you will be responsible for overseeing the inventory management of all vehicles at the dealership. This includes tracking incoming and outgoing stock, ensuring accurate record-keeping, coordinating with sales and service departments, and conducting regular audits to maintain stock accuracy. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure seamless operations and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the movement of all vehicles in and out of the dealership
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of vehicle stock levels and locations
- Coordinate with sales and service departments to fulfill customer orders and dealership requirements
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy
- Report on stock levels, trends, and discrepancies to management
- Identify and resolve any stock-related issues in a timely manner
- Implement and maintain best practices for inventory management
- Verify creditor details
- Bring cars into the warehouse
- Invoicing vehicles
- Raise/Create Cheque
- Issuing of monthly reports on outstanding orders
- Phone suppliers for outstanding invoices
- Balancing vehicle costing on Drive
- Ensure required documentation is available in deal file before start
- Assist stock controller in reporting of sales
- Daily debtors allocation and updates to back office
- Maintain clean and orderly work environment
- Report any deviations to financial management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field
- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably within the automotive industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Qualifications
