About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our team in the heavy manufacturing/mining industry. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills and experience working with financial data in a manufacturing/mining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management review
- Full-function creditors and debtors management
- Petty cash processing and reconciliations
- Daily stock & inventory processing and adjustments
- Post journal entries for accrued expenses, and interest-bearing loans
- Monitor cash flow and budgeting to ensure financial stability
- Assist with tax preparation and reporting
Requirements
- 3 – 5 years of experience in financial accounting, within the heavy manufacturing/mining industry
- Proficient with Accounting Packages – eg. Sage, Pastel, Xero Accounting
- Intermediate Excel Skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting or Bookkeeping
