About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced and reliable Accountant to join our client’s accounting team in Sandton. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing expert guidance to management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
- Reconcile financial statements and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end close processes
- Monitor and analyze financial data and provide insights to management
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Manage and mentor junior bookkeeping staff
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Participate in financial audits and provide necessary documentation and support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles with full function
- Registered with SAIPA or SAICA
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
