About the Role
Are you a seasoned Reward Executive ready to shape a performance-driven reward strategy in a complex, high-impact environment? Our client, a JSE-listed industry leader in the agribusiness/manufacturing sector, is seeking a dynamic professional to lead its total rewards function from their Centurion Head Office. This executive role requires a confident strategist who can influence Board-level decisions, ensure compliance with King IV and JSE requirements, and align total rewards with talent, ESG, and shareholder value goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a Group-wide Total Rewards Strategy, including executive and broad-based remuneration, incentives, benefits, and payroll
- Partner with RemCo and senior executives to align remuneration models with shareholder expectations and business KPIs
- Lead the development and governance of STI and LTI schemes, job grading frameworks, and workforce cost planning
- Oversee the payroll function across multiple entities, ensuring compliance with SARS, UIF, and statutory requirements
- Drive digitisation and automation of reward and payroll systems in collaboration with HRIS and Finance
- Benchmark compensation against local/global comparators and optimise cost-effective benefits
- Manage Remuneration Reports, Board submissions, and investor transparency requirements
- Foster internal reward capabilities by leading a Reward & Payroll Centre of Excellence
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, HR, Business Admin, or similar (essential)
- 10+ years of senior HR/Reward leadership, 5+ years in executive roles
- Experience in JSE-listed, unionised, and large-scale organisations
- Strong knowledge of King IV, tax and labour law, and remuneration governance
- Familiarity with SAP, SAGE, SuccessFactors, or other reward/HRIS platforms
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), CBP, or SARA membership is highly advantageous
- Demonstrated leadership in job evaluation frameworks, long-term incentive structuring, and workforce cost modelling

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, HR, Business Admin, or similar
