About the Role
Our client, a well-established metal and engineering specialist serving the industrial sector, is seeking an experienced HR Officer to join their team. As the HR Officer, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations across multiple functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day HR operations across multiple functions.
- Administer payroll using Sage Cloud-based Payroll and Sage VIP Cloud.
- Coordinate MIBFA (Metal Industries Benefit Funds Administrators) and MEIBC (Metal & Engineering Industries Bargaining Council) compliance and benefits administration.
- Support employee relations, performance management, leave and absence tracking, and general HR administration.
- Facilitate psychometric assessments as part of candidate screening and employee development.
- Maintain accurate HR records and generate relevant reports.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of solid generalist HR experience.
- Prior experience within the metal or engineering industry is essential.
- Experience with MIBFA and MEIBC benefits and bargaining council processes essential.
- Proficiency with Sage Cloud-based Payroll and Sage VIP Cloud.
- Comfortable facilitating and interpreting psychometric assessments.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (e.g., Bachelor’s degree)
