About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically strong Sales Manager with a proven track record in the automation, mining, and heavy-industry sectors. This role requires a data-driven sales professional with exceptional business acumen, strong strategic capability, and the ability to manage complex sales cycles from prospecting to closure and after-sales support. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, non-structured environment and can confidently engage with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow a strong pipeline of opportunities within existing and future customer bases
- Cold call, prospect, and drive proactive sales campaigns
- Expand the customer base within South Africa and internationally
- Update sales forecasts and pipeline weekly
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales quotas
- Provide account updates, forecasts, and reporting to local and global leadership
Requirements
- Strongly data-driven with advanced analytical capability
- Formal tertiary qualification in a related field (technical preferred)
- Experience in mining, with understanding of surface and underground operations
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Proven field business development experience in the mining sector
- Familiarity with predictive & prescriptive maintenance and reliability risk assessment
Qualifications
- Completed degree in a related technical field (if applicable)
