About the Role
Anchora, a family-owned and operated healthcare system with over 35 years of experience providing compassionate, high-quality care across a network of health and rehabilitation centers in New Jersey, is seeking a skilled Billing Assistant to join their team. As a key member of the billing department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of insurance claims, patient payments, and cash receipts.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate entry and updating of Medicare, Medicaid, and Private insurance billing data.
- Processing and posting cash receipts, insurance payments, and patient payments.
- Reviewing billing information for accuracy and completeness, correcting errors, and resolving discrepancies.
- Assisting with claims submissions, follow-ups, and basic accounts receivable tracking.
- Maintaining organized billing records and supporting compliance with healthcare billing regulations and internal procedures.
- Support role in data entry from EMR software (PCC) into billing software (NCS).
- Taking on additional tasks as the account expands, including collections, insurance follow-ups, and higher-level billing tasks.

Qualifications
