About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Stock Controller to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring effective receipt and management of stock between warehouses and production plants. Your excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and leadership abilities will be essential in maintaining high standards of inventory control, quality assurance, and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor stock movement from Production to the warehouse
- Ensure that Forklift Drivers pull good ware pallets from the lines and place them in the PQA area
- At the end of the production shift, confirm that all pallets for that shift have been moved from PQA into the warehouse bins, and any pallets returned to the factory for reworks have been completed and returned to the warehouse
- Ensure that ware not reworked on shift is not scored on that shift
- Ensure that stock is scored according to the physical good ware received
- Handshake between Shift Manager and Warehouse Stock Controller to be done at the end of each shift by signing off the score book
- All other unused pallet labels must be deleted
- Ensure that the last pallet label not used from Production at the end of each is attached to the stacking sheet
- Allocate bin location to which the stock is to be moved from PQA to the Warehouse (S01)
- Ensure that after night shift is complete and all scores have been entered into the Production Score Book and these scores balance against the GR8
- Ensure that discrepancies are immediately resolved with Production Manager/Shift Manager
- Submit the Production Score Sheet to Finance Department for capturing
- Ensure that warehouse stock (MB51), and Production Stock (GR8), and the production score sheet all balance, immediately after finance capturing has been completed. Ensure hard copies of all three are kept in file
- Ensure that the following Storage Types (011, 902, 901, 012, PQA, 922, 980, 999 and 914) are cleared daily
Requirements
- At least 2 years Experience in AGP-A Groups systems and SAP WMS
- Inventory (stock) control experience essential
- Own transport with a valid code 8 driver’s license or reliable transportation
- Minimum 5 years experience in Supervisory position, with demonstrated Leadership
- Able to communicate (read and write) effectively in English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (NQF 4) with Maths Relevant NQF 5 qualifications (supply chain, management, etc)
- National Certificate (NQF 5) in Warehousing Operations will be advantageous
