About the Role
SPECD (Pty) Ltd, a well-established and innovative engineering company specializing in railway systems, rolling stock refurbishment, railway infrastructure, telecommunications, and power solutions, is seeking an HR & Logistics Officer to support both human resource and logistics functions. The ideal candidate will assist with HR processes, employee relations, recruitment coordination, and administrative tasks, while also coordinating logistics and resource management to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics plans to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials, parts, and equipment.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to manage inventory levels and meet operational needs.
- Schedule and oversee transportation and delivery of goods, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including tracking shipments and monitoring stock levels.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies to ensure data accuracy.
- Manage storage solutions to optimise space and accessibility of materials and parts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable and efficient supply chain operations.
Requirements
- Matric Certificate.
- 5 – 10 Years’ experience in logistics coordination or management, preferably within the train or transportation industry.
- Computer literacy.
- Certification or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Proven experience in logistics coordination or management, preferably within the train or transportation industry.
- Experience with inventory management systems and transportation planning.

Compensation will be determined based on qualifications, applicable banking experience, and previous earnings.
