About the Role
The Workshop Manager will be responsible for the effective and profitable operation of the Service Department. This role ensures that manufacturer and dealership targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of service quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure service quality standards and profitability targets are consistently achieved
- Plan, manage, and control workshop workflow to maximise efficiency and productivity
- Address and resolve all workshop-related operational issues
- Liaise with OEMs to ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and requirements
- Develop and implement marketing and operational strategies to grow workshop performance
- Lead, motivate, and manage the workshop team to foster a high-performance culture
- Ensure overall cleanliness, organisation, and housekeeping of the workshop at all times
Requirements
- Grade 12 (tertiary qualification in a relevant field will be advantageous)
- Minimum of 3 years proven experience as a Workshop Manager or Service Manager within the motor industry
- Strong management and leadership capabilities
- Self-motivated with a proven ability to drive performance and achieve targets
- Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Valid drivers licence
- Clear criminal record
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (tertiary qualification in a relevant field will be advantageous)
- Minimum of 3 years proven experience as a Workshop Manager or Service Manager within the motor industry
