About the Role

A well-established organisation within the agricultural sector is seeking a Financial Manager to join their head office team in Pretoria. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the full finance function across a group of legal entities, operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing financial strategies, controls, and processes
  • Overseeing the full accounting function, including journals, reconciliations, and ledger management
  • Preparing management accounts, financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
  • Performing variance analysis and providing insights to support decision-making
  • Overseeing the payroll in collaboration with HR and ensuring statutory compliance (PAYE, UIF, SDL, and VAT)
  • Supporting the implementation and optimisation of ERP systems (e.g. Sage Intacct and People 300)
  • Managing audit processes and liaising with auditors, SARS, and stakeholders
  • Providing financial advisory support to senior management

Requirements

  • BCom Accounting or a related qualification
  • Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
  • Minimum 3 years post-articles experience in a financial role
  • Exposure to Sage People 300 advantageous
  • Experience with cloud-based ERP systems (e.g. Sage Intacct) beneficial
  • Industry exposure within agriculture or auctioneering advantageous
