About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Tasting Ambassador to join our team at a wine estate close to Stellenbosch / Brackenfell. As a key member of our tasting room, you will be responsible for creating unforgettable guest experiences, conducting wine tastings, and driving sales. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct wine tastings and educate guests on the winery’s portfolio of wines
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create memorable experiences for guests
- Drive sales and meet or exceed monthly sales goals
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of wines
- Represent the winery at local events and festivals
- Collaborate with the Tasting Room Manager to create new experiences and events
Requirements
- Grade 12
- WSET or other wine qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the wine industry
- Knowledge and passion for wine, including winemaking processes, varietals, and regions
- Strong sales and customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
Qualifications
- Completed Grade 12 or equivalent
